Bloomington Speedway
Last Visited - 2017
Track Distance - 1/4 mile
Facilties - Limited
City/Town - Bloomington, Indiana, USA
Website - www.bloomingtonspeedway.com
Location - The track is located about an hour 15 minutes south-west of Indianapolis. Take
IN-37s. The track is on the far side of Bloomington.
Parking - Is right beside the track behind turns 1&2.
Premiere Meeting - Make sure you're trackside when the non-wing Sprintcars visit as part of USAC Indiana
Sprint Week, normally in July.
Also worth attending - USAC Midget week also pays a visit, normally in June.
Best spot to sit - Seating is limited to the wooden seats down the front straight. There really isn't
a bad spot along here.
Classes run - Midgets, 305 Sprintcars, non-wing Sprintcars, US Modifieds, US Super Stocks, Hornets
Uniqueness - The track is perhaps best known as the home of Steve Kinser and at the time of
writing Steve still resides close to the track. Visually the track seems to race quite narrow compared
with most US tracks allowing for close wheel to wheel action. It's a great sight to see cars running right
around the top, flirting with going over the banking. The track allows for multiple lines only limited
by the creativity of the driver
